A Shift Towards Work From Home

  • 1. The Pandemic has been a reality check for the corporates around the world. It has   taught us new ways to see the working and finding out ways that are efficient and productive.
  • 2. It has been found in researches that around 91% of the employers feel that there is a need for upskilling and reskilling the employees but it was also found that only one out of five actually worked upon it.
  • 3. With the corporate giants like Infosys and TCS looking for ways to make their employees work from home it has become a new normal.
  • 4. TCS has announced that around 75% of their workforce globally will work remotely by 2025.



  • 5. Infosys has also announced that they might have 33-50% of their employees working from home.
  • 6. These steps could have been taken due to the breaking of the mind set that work from home reduces productivity as the employees now have become used to it.
  • 7. It also helps the organisations in cost cutting as there is less expenses on renting of working spaces, real estate and travel costs though the expenses on technology and safety increase yet it would be a positive step.
  • 8. This also gives the corporates liberty to recruit people from different corners of the world on gig basis and can leverage talents from distant locations as well.
